For some unknown reason, appointments in the Calendar already synched will just up and disappear entirely after a while. When that happens, newly created ones will still sync over and still appear on the Note 8 until the next disappearance event as will new Contacts and new e-mails created to be in or go to the O account. If I go to the Email app and uninstall, then reinstall the O account, all my missing Calendar events will be restored, 'til the next mysterious disappearance.
So, in summary, after granting Locations permission to the Samsung Email app, I appear to have allowed it to become a Device Administrator. Synching of e-mails and Contacts seems to be working fine.
I still seem to be getting once or twice a day notices from the Office servers that I need to Update Security Settings. So I hope Samsung and Microsoft will get together and fix the bugs. I think he said that he had the same problem on his Pixel phone attempting to setup Gmail to work with Office So if you moderators can send my plight up the chain of command at Samsung, that would be great.
Otherwise, looks like the Galaxy Note 8 used in conjunction with my Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier is useless for business purposes with Office If I can't set up the Samsung email app and Calendar with Office , I can't fully sync my e-mail and calendar to my Gear S3, since because of lack of app development for Tizen , it basically only works fully through the Samsung Mail and Calendar programs.

Email server : Enter the host name of your Exchange server. For example, enter outlook. Account name : Enter the display name for the email account. This name is shown to users on their devices. If you want to proceed with manual setup, touch Manual Setup. Select the type of email account you want to set up. Note: To ensure you are entering the correct information required for your incoming server settings, please contact your internet service provider or network carrier.
Allow your phone to attempt to connect to the incoming server with the settings you've provided. If successful, you will be taken to the Outgoing server settings screen. If the incoming server settings are incorrect, you will be prompted with the Edit details screen inwhich you can edit incorrect settings and try again. Touch NEXT to proceed. Wait for your phone to attempt to connect the outgoing server with the server settings you've provided.
If successfully connected, you will be prompted with the Sync Settings screen inwhich you can choose settings for new email retrieval. Make your selections and then touch NEXT to continue. If the outgoing server settings are incorrect, you will be prompted with the Edit details screen for you to edit settings and retry to connect to the outgoing server. Enter a name for your account. The name you entered will appear on your outgoing messages.
Touch DONE to complete the setup process. The only difference is that you will be required to enter details for your work email. Touch Apps from the Home screen. Touch Settings. Scroll to and touch Accounts.
