Unfortunatly I don't know how to post the screenshot. It shows that both drives are healthy. Is there any reason why you have 2 versions of Windows XP on your partitioned harddrive? Since you have your drive partitioned into 2 seperate drives try running check disk on each of the partitions. Which Firewall are you using? My Firewall is Online Armor.
Allen H ,. I had a similar problem and I found that my Firewall Online Armor was the culprit so I now close the fire wall to use system restore. Here are the following programs that I have running after boot. I restarted the computer in safe mode and tried to create a restore point but the option wasn't there. I figured that was the case. That is why I didn't perform it to begin with. Anyways, still without Restore, even though it is enabled. Hmmm, this is very puzzling. Try disabling your Zone Alarm firewall and shut down all background programs that are running in the system tray, then attempt to create a restore point.
If that doesn't work try uninstalling Zone Alarm completely and see if system restore works. Uninstalling ZoneAlarm isn't an option for me because I don't have any other comparable firewalls to use. What do you mean? The Windows Firewall should keep the system secure until you reinstall Zone Alarm. I didn't think that the Windows firewall could keep out as much as ZoneAlarm.
