Pros Free food, clean break room with all the amenities, easy work, good training, kind leads, flexible schedule, good starting pay. Benefits if you stick around. Cons 40 hours a week is not guaranteed, Requesting PTO is difficult. No thanks. Underpaid for the amount of work and expectations involved. Experiences there did help with my growth in the workforce. Would never work for a major retail giant ever again.

Probably most challenging but rewarding experience. Although I was there as a tempt, I'd go back. However I now live in a different city and will most definitely apply to a Target near me in Santa Ana.

It's good for people who are starting out. My time here wasnt great for the must part. I didn't really enjoyed my time here. It's great for entry level but it's not for me that's for sure. It's overall decent. Pay is okay, but management is really incompetent.

The management is quite incompetent and reeks of favoritism. Pros 45 minute lunches, team members are very nice. Cons Terrible management and short breaks, customers can be nasty at times. Could be better if management knew how to treat employees.

Little to no communication from higher ups. Cons Short breaks. No leaves for education. Excessive work loads, not enough time to complete the tasks, not enough coverage.

Hours get cut often and drastically. Management spends more time in the office readings emails than helping on the floor. There is seldom any room for advancement and they usually hire outside of the store.

I've been working for target for 4 years. I'm really good at my job but it doesn't help my store much because the next day all the work is destroyed. Because our leaders are never present, don't care, don't try to help zone, they leave everything up to us.

They yell at us, and push us hard or meet goals without support or setting us up for success. I used to love working at Target. But they need to hire more employees. Give the stores hours so they can invest us into the stores. The customers need it, the employees need the help and hours. Pros Free therapy but 5 sessions isn't enough DAily pay is great Maternity leave was awesome. Cons Poor management that is lazy Lack of hours Lack of team members scheduled during the store.

The unload process isn't always flawless, but the team keeps a positive morale. This positivity seen throughout the day with various team members from the checkout lanes to the backroom. Workload can be a bit much at times, however team members are always willing to help one another.

Guest Services constantly relays positive messages from satisfied guests to the entire store through the walkies. Overall, the job may be tough sometimes, but the people help make it easier and even enjoyable. Depending on store you can have some great experiences. Our team was close and bonded well which made the work experience great.

But you won't find that in every store unfortunately. Pros Good people. Cons Long hours. I loved working here simply for the people at my level. The management all acts like they're in high school with the little cliques. I was promised many things at target, however the gratitude they showed me was a text letting me know they cant keep me due to hours. IF you decide to work here, watch your back. Simple as that.

Target is a fun and busy job. I loved working at Target. If I could do only go-backs on Monday and Tuesday evenings, I would have stayed.

But, I was working here as a second job for extra money. Pros Team building was great. Good luck requesting time off, you might get it, but you'll get an attitude as well. Would you recommend working at your company? Help people considering your employer make a good choice. Decent, low stress, but also low pay. Best thing is the college degree program they have. Hard on team members to get their workload done when their time frame to complete their work doesn't match how much workload they actually received on a given day.

Extremely hard to be promoted above TL status if you've been with the company. They usually bring interns who just finish college and promise them a ETL Executive Team Lead position after they finish their degree. Pros Plenty of work to keep you busy for an entire shift, Great co-workers, Looks great on a resume, Overtime.

Cons Pay doesn't match workload, stressful, promotions unrealistic above TL status.
